If you're one of few remaining people
who aren't yet convinced that our media is run by liberals, then I invite you to
pick up a copy of yesterday's Los Angeles Times. Maybe the patriotism of
Columbus Day got the best of them, but yesterday's paper featured headlines
like, "Clinton winning over the skeptics" (that was right on the front page, of
course) and an editorial about President Bush titled "Heartless and Clueless."
But amid all of that liberal propaganda, it was the title of a front page
feature story that really got my attention. "Che's legacy looms larger than
ever. Forty years after his execution, the iconic revolutionary embodies a
modern leftist spirit."
Iconic revolutionary? Perhaps it's time for the working people of the world to
unite and remember who the fun-loving guy on all those t-shirts really was. The
Real Story is that Che Guevara was a Stalin-wannabe, cold-blooded killer who can
and should be blamed for the deaths of thousands of people. Maybe your memory is
clouded by all of the brainwashed Hollywood celebrities walking around in their
communist apparel, but Che was the driving force behind Fidel Castro's rise to
power. Yea, the same Castro who's people are literally cramming 1,400 people
onto a log to try and reach U.S. soil. It must be quite the paradise there.
Che then ran a Cuban prison where he acted as judge, jury, and yes, executioner.
That sounds pretty "heartless and clueless" to me. Some estimates say that as
many as 500 people were killed by the middle-of-the-night firing squads that he
personally oversaw during his five month term. And he was also the founder of
Cuban labor camps -- you know, the ones that later basically turned into prisons
for anyone who didn't agree with him; along with, of course, homosexuals. Wait,
a left wing radical trying to lock up homosexuals? That doesn't sound consistent
with what today's Che-loving leftists preach, but consistency is so over-rated.
Unfortunately, history has a unique way of turning atrocities into admiration.
Look around, Che merchandise is everywhere; his image is even trademarked! I'm
not joking. Kind of ironic, isn't it? The King of Communism is now the ultimate
capitalist.
And speaking of capitalism, who better than Hollywood to swoop on in and milk
even more cash out of this lie. A new Che movie is in the works -- no word yet
if proceeds from the ticket sales will be funneled to Bolivian rebels or simply
redistributed to all the poor people in the theatre instead. After all, rich
Hollywood executives wouldn't want to profit off the backs of the working
class...would they?
