The Real Story: Hillary's New, New Deal
Updated October 01
, 2007

How many times over the last few years have you heard Democrats like Hillary Clinton complain about government spending and the deficit? Hillary, if you hate deficits so much, then why are you so hell bent on creating ANOTHER massive entitlement program for healthcare that, by your own estimate, would cost more to run each year than the Departments of Homeland Security, Treasury, Labor, Energy, Transportation and Justice.....combined?

Why, if you hate spending so much, did you just propose that all new children born in this country should receive a $5,000 "baby bond" to help them once they reach age 18; a brainchild that would cost more to run than NASA every year.

The Real Story is that Hillary Clinton doesn't hate spending or deficits, in fact, she loves them, so long as they're part of a "New, New Deal" style of crippling government entitlement programs.

I know Hillary doesn't like to call herself a liberal, or even a Democrat -- she's a "New Democrat" or a "Modern Progressive" --- but let me cut through the bullcrap and tell you what she really is: a Socialist. These programs amount to nothing more than a systematic redistribution of wealth. Take money from one group and give it to another. What else do you call that if not socialism?

Even her tax proposals are straight out of Marxism 101. Tax the rich, give it to the poor. There's only one problem: it doesn't work. The Bush tax cuts that she hates so much have resulted in the highest tax revenues in the history of our country. Yes, the spending is out of control, but spending even MORE money, while you DECREASE revenues is definitely not the answer.
