"Progressives" in
the Wisconsin Senate don't want to wait for Hillary so
they're moving ahead now with plans for universal health
care that would insure every state resident under the age of
65.
The total cost? About $15.2 billion dollars. That works out
to about $510 dollars a month in additional taxes for every
single worker in Wisconsin; a tax that would be collected by
essentially doubling the payroll tax to --get out the duct
tape and wrap your head tight -- about 30 percent.
Deep breaths
everyone; nice and easy, stay with me. The Real Story isn't
just about the costs, it's also about the common sense.
This plan is exactly like the New Haven illegal immigrant ID
cards...it's going to act as a nation-wide beacon to attract
exactly the wrong type of people to Wisconsin. Since you
don't actually need a job to qualify for coverage under this
bill, every poor, unemployed, uninsured, or, dare I say,
illegal immigrant in the country -- yes, they'll be covered
too -- is going to make a bee-line for Madison. Meanwhile,
every hardworking employee and growing small business is
going to march across the border to states like Minnesota or
Iowa to get an instant 15 percent tax cut.
I apologize to anyone in Wisconsin, but I actually hope this
passes because bankrupting your state may be the best chance
we have of preventing the other 49 from making the same
disastrous decision.
