GLENN: Oh, yeah.
Let's stop talking about the real agenda. The real agenda,
of course, is global socialism. Al Gore was sticking his
face in the finger -- the finger in the face of America
yesterday in front of the United Nations saying that we've
got to move on, the world's got to move on without America.
In two years things will be different. In two years you can
go ahead and put that global tax on. You need to start
penalizing the United States of America. They were speaking
out loud yesterday in stuff that will not be reported on
mainstream television or mainstream newspapers about global
socialism, quoting redistribution of wealth from rich
countries to poor countries because we all know that will
change the temperature of the planet. I know it's getting a
little hotter where I am right now just thinking about it.
Dreaming of a green Christmas
NBC
"news" story - LED lights are lighting up
holiday displays across the US, and with
potential energy savings worth billions, their
use could spread beyond the holidays. NBC's Mark
Potter reports.

But let's not talk about the real agenda. Did anybody watch
Brian Williams last night on NBC? Brian Williams, the last
segment on NBC, a full report on how Ann Arbor, Michigan is
changing all of the public lights, all the traffic signals,
all the street lights to LED and how that is the equivalent
of taking 400 cars off the road. It was a fantastic story.
My gosh, look at this. They can take 400 cars right off the
road. How fabulous that is. Whole piece was about how great
LED lights are for everybody. It's wonderful. Then they went
to Brian Williams in the studio and he said, I just want you
to show -- I want to show you that NBC has converted to LED
lights because we care about the environment and maybe you
should, too. Those LED lights, those are fantastic, isn't
it? No mention that NBC is owned by GE, no mention that if
you go to GE and lumination.com, oh, my gosh, oh, look at
this on the front page is signage and architecture, LED
systems can lower your operating and maintenance costs. GE
making new LED traffic signals, GE making new LED rail
signals. GE making new LED display lighting. GE creating
exceptional light quality across a variety of lighting
applications. My gosh, I'm telling you somebody in the
United States government needs to clamp down on General
Electric. They won't because General Electric has three
times the lobbying budget of all of the oil companies
combined. So Washington is definitely in the pocket of
General Electric. So nobody is ever going to clamp down on
them, but I've got to tell you something. For NBC to be
owned by General Electric and then to bury stories in their
news about, oh, my gosh, look at how great this is; this
global warming thing, you could take 400 cars right off the
streets, just with this new lumination. Look at the LED
system. Isn't this great? I wonder who makes those traffic
lights. Wonder who can do that? It's got to be some great
country -- or some company. I'd sure buy stock in that
company. Oh, well, this is the NBC news. Good night,
everybody. This is insidious.
By the way, Al Gore is partnering with GE as well. You want
to talk about global corporations, here it is. You want to
talk about global corporations controlling the news, here it
is. Am I the only one outraged by this? I'm the only one
that I know of -- please call and tell me that you've heard
somebody else say this. I'm the only one that is watching
this saying, wait a minute! How is it that NBC got away with
green week without ever disclosing: By the way, we're a
wholly owned subsidiary of General Electric and we have a
lot to gain. How is it NBC can get away with doing a pro LED
sign and light and look how great it is for global warming
block on television without disclosing that they are a
wholly owned subsidiary of GE, the people making those
lights? This is an outrage. Is no one going to look into it?
Is no one going to call into question NBC's credibility?
What has happened to us?
By the way, I got those new Christmas lights. They're LED
lights. They're fantastic. I put them on the tree. They save
so much energy. You know what I'm going to do? I'm going to
go out and I'm going to buy those really big old-fashioned
bulbs. In fact, you know what? If I can get the really,
really old ones that have a little tag that say only powered
by coal fire engines, I'm going to buy those and put them on
my house. I actually, when I was in San Francisco -- was it
San Francisco we saw the fluorescent tree? Yeah, of course
it was. We were in San Francisco last week. I actually saw
at the airport a fluorescent lit tree! I don't want
fluorescent lights! I hate them.
Have you seen them yet, Stu? Have they made them to your
neighborhood?
STU: I haven't seen them yet, but I have seen -- there are a
lot of the LED lights that are popping up everywhere.
GLENN: I don't have a problem with LED lights, I don't. I
really don't.
STU: I don't know. For Christmas? I don't think they work.
GLENN: I mean, here's the thing. If we can save energy and
they are better lights and everything else, I don't have
anything wrong with that. My problem is not with the
technology. My problem is embedding in the news. You know
what this is? You know what this is? This is me saying, hey,
by the way, I want you to know I don't have an agenda at
all, I have absolutely no agenda, I'm neutral on everything.
I'm just reporting the news. And in the news today some
brilliant, brilliant pieces of work that I mean, I have to
tell you some of the best astute comments on the problems of
the world today and some of the best solutions I've ever
heard available in a bookstore right now. I'm trying to
remember the name of the book, something, Inconvenient Book.
You should pick it up. It's incredible. Now here's some more
news.
I mean, I'm the one creating that stuff.
STU: This is one of the worst examples I've seen because
we've talked about this before in general sort of
environmental terms and talking about alternative energy
with GE but this is like -- I mean, it's a legitimate, like
it's a product they are shipping out to, they are trying to
sell specifically to communities.
GLENN: Yeah. And you know what? Have you noticed that Al
Gore doesn't have a problem being in bed with big business?
It's just big oil.
STU: Yeah, it's just a big --
GLENN: Yeah, why should I take any -- why should you have
any credibility? They take money from the oil industry. Why
should NBC have any credibility on anything that's said
about global warming? They're owned by a company that makes
the technology that will be replacing all of the old
technology!
