-- Country Music Star Tracy Byrd to Perform at Final Rally for America --

Glenn's Caravan Through the Heartland Itinerary

LOS ANGELES, April 30, 2003 – To raise awareness and build excitement for the final Rally for America, Glenn Beck announced today on his national radio show that he will lead a caravan from Dallas to Huntington, W. Va., where the final rally will take place on May 24 at Marshall University Stadium at 3 p.m. ET. He also announced that country music star Tracy Byrd will be one of the performers at the rally.

“I want to bring as much attention and as many people as possible to this last rally, so our troops truly know, without a doubt, that they have won the heart of America,” said Beck.

For the last few months, more than 150,000 people from all over the nation have attended Glenn Beck’s Rallies for America because of their strong desire to demonstrate support for the troops. Many of them drove hundreds of miles to get to the rallies. Beck wanted to build on that spirit, experience it for himself, and welcome all Americans to join the Rally for America Caravan.

The first stop will be in Dallas on May 19. Other cities on the route include Tulsa, Okla. on May 20, St. Louis, Mo. on May 21, Fort Wayne, Ind. on May 22, Columbus, Ohio, May 23 and finally Huntington, W. Va. on May 24. Beck will do his radio show on remote from each city, meet listeners, and invite them to join him in driving to the next stops.

To raise money for the final rally and the caravan, Beck asked his nearly three million listeners on April 10 to donate $1 each. To date, $330,000 has been donated and processed by the USO. All money raised in excess of the estimated budget of $250,000 for the events will be donated to the USO.
Based in Philadelphia, The Glenn Beck Program is a three-hour nationally syndicated radio talk show that airs on 118 stations, including the following major markets: Philadelphia (WPHT), Dallas (KLIF), Washington DC (WTNT), Atlanta (WGST), and Tampa (WFLA). Weekdays from 9 a.m. to noon ET, Beck inspires listener emotion as he shares his truth on any given subject from religion and politics to current events.

The Glenn Beck Program debuted in 2000 on WFLA-AM in Tampa where he dominated the ratings within one year of doing his first talk show in afternoon drive, giving the station its first #1 program ever. In January 2002, Premiere Radio Networks launched The Glenn Beck Program nationally on 47 stations that included KPRC, Houston, WGST, Atlanta, and WOAI, San Antonio.
